Street food has lost its meaning and spontaneity.
This authentic way of life of experiencing
street food has been absent in present day Singapore.

We are also missing this spirit of togetherness

This architecture aims to change that this fact.
“Unified through Spontaneity” consists of architecture that embodies food hawker personas from the past and aims to bring families together in this HDB estate through spontaneous and unconstrained activities.
The way I achieved this spontaneity is through the usage of different food hawkers from Singapore. I utilised the magical qualities of these hawkers and implemented them into these blocks of housing, located at Toh Yi Drive, Singapore.
